NILE STORYWORK PRESS

About Us

Welcome to our world of storytelling.

Where it all began

Growing up surrounded by conflict and culture, Alfredo Riak developed a profound love for stories that transport, inspire, and connect communities. Writing became his way of sharing truth,  bearing witness to the history of Sudan and South Sudan so it would never be forgotten.

Over the years, he transformed this mission into Nile Storywork Press, a full institution dedicated to preserving African voices, publishing world-class works, and empowering others to tell their own stories.

"Stories have the power to bridge hearts and inspire change."

My Writing Philosophy

Crafting meaningful connections

For us, publishing is about more than creating books, it’s about forging connections. Each book is a journey of discovery, emotions, and shared human experiences. Our goal is to create narratives that linger in your heart long after the final page.

Authentic Voices

Stories told with truth and lived experience at the centre

Cultural Depth

Narratives rooted in African heritage and global resonance

Global Reach

Distribution and visibility that crosses every border

Beyond the Pages

The person behind the it all

When not writing or publishing, Alfredo Riak is advocating for South Sudan, researching African history, and mentoring future storytellers. His background as a former child soldier, pastor, philosopher, and historian shapes every word and every service, that Nile Storywork Press delivers.
